Day 1 – Arrival

Arrive Glasgow and transfer to the hotel. Depending on flight and time of arrival, city sightseeing tour of Glasgow. Dinner and overnight in Glasgow.

Day 2 – Glasgow to Oban

City sightseeing tour of Glasgow . Depart Glasgow heading North until we reach the South bank of Loch Lomond. We’ll drive along the west bank, with stops in local villages and beautiful views over the Loch, the largest in Scotland. In the afternoon we’ll arrive in the town of Inveraray, sitting on the banks of Loch Fyne, and we’ll visit Inveraray Castle. From there, still heading North, we’ll drive to the town of Oban.

Oban is a pretty fishing village, with a beautiful bay looking out to the Hebrides. Dinner and overnight in Oban.

Day 3 – Oban to Inverness

From Oban we'll keep going North along Loch Linnhe, until we reach the beautiful and austere valley of Glencoe, famous for the 1692 Massacre of the MacDonalds by the hands of the Campbells, two of the largest Scottish Clans. We'll then head towards Loch Ness where we will stop for a visit to the ruins of Urquhart Castle, which seats on the banks of the Loch looking out into the dark water. Dinner and overnight in Inverness.

Day 4 – Excursion to Speyside

Today we will go for an excursion to the Speyside, to the East of Inverness. The region is of great natural wild beauty and is also the home of many of the most famous Malt Whiskies produced in Scotland. First we’ll stop at Cawdor Castle, which was originally built as a private fortress by the Thanes of Cawdor back in the 14th century and which now stands, massive and severe, dominated by its ancient medieval tower. We will also visit a Whisky Distillery, where we will follow the process of whisky distilling and where we will get a taste of the product. We will also stop at local picturesque villages like Elgin and Nairn. Dinner and overnight in Inverness

Day 5 – Inverness to Edinburgh

Today we will head south and drive through to Aviemore, the most popular mountain resort in Scotland. Our first stop will be at Blair Castle, the ancient seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl, with roots dating back to the 13th century. We will also stop in the local villages like Pitlochry and Dunkeld, where you can catch a glimpse of the locals’ everyday life. In the late afternoon we’ll arrive in Edinburgh. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6 – Edinburgh

In the morning, city sightseeing tour of the city by coach. This will include the Old Town, Holyrood Palace, Carlton Hill with its unrivalled panoramic views, Princess Street, and the New Town. Visit to Edinburgh Castle. Afternoon free for everyone to pursue their own interests (Museums, Art Galleries, Botanic Gardens, Architecture, Shopping…). The dinner will be a themed Scottish Evening, with typical local dishes, music, dances and poems from Scottish Artists.

Day 7 – Edinburgh to Yorkshire

We’ll depart Edinburgh heading south and across the region of the Scottish Borders with its charming countryside. Our first stop will be at Floors Castle built in 1721 by William Adam and home of the Duke and Duchess of Roxburghe. We’ll the cross the border into England. In the afternoon we’ll stop for a visit to Durham Cathedral, which is considered one of the most beautiful Cathedrals in England and is part of a World Heritage Site. Dinner and overnight in/around Harrogate/York.

Day 8 – Yorkshire to London

We’ll leave behind the green valleys of Yorkshire to quickly head further south. Our first stop will be at Warwick Castle, with its magnificent towers, ramparts, dungeons and halls and splendid grounds. We’ll then move onto Stratford-on-Avon for a visit to the House where William Shakespeare spent many years of his life. We’ll have free time to walk around the beautiful alleys and breathe in the atmosphere of this quiet English town. We’ll then head towards London for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – London

In the morning we’ll have a city sightseeing tour of the city by coach. This will include all the major attractions like Westminster Abbey, St. Paul’s Cathedral, Buckingham Palace, Piccadilly Circus, Trafalgar Square. In the afternoon we’ll visit Windsor Castle, which along with Buckingham Palace and Holyrood House is another Official Residence of the Queen, and the largest inhabited Castle in the world. The evening will be free to give everybody the opportunity to experience the many dining opportunities that London offers. Overnight in London.

Day 10 – London

The day will be free for everybody to explore the city according to personal preferences. You can choose to visit any of the places seen during the sightseeing tour, or go for the many museums, art galleries, churches, shops, or a walk along the Thames and a visit to the London Eye. Dinner is also free. Overnight in London.
